Anja Middelveld

Licensed Acupuncturist, Nutritional Therapist, Massage Therapist,
Qigong Teacher, Founder of Healing Path Holistic Medicine Clinic

In 1989 I was diagnosed with cancer. This life threatening illness unleashed my desire to help others. As cancer inspired me to deepen my knowledge of natural healing, also being pregnant with my daughter Isabella stimulated me to take it to the next level with nutritional therapy. Today I am a healthy mom, and have been a practitioner of natural health for over 15 years. In 2002 I earned a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. In 2004 I founded Healing Path Holistic Medicine Clinic in Milwaukie, where I offer acupuncture, nutritional, massage therapy, and qigong classes.

My specialty is in reducing pain, fatigue, digestive issues, allergies, and women’s health issues. Acupuncture and simple nutritional adjustments can help reduce pain levels dramatically, especially if the patient gets involved with taking charge of their own health. Couples, who are trying to conceive, maintain a healthy pregnancy, or have other reproductive health issues will be evaluated with a thorough nutritional assessment, a functional examination and acupuncture treatment. Patients often are sent home with educational tips and a plan to achieve their goals.

Since studying at the College of Oriental Medicine, I have been teaching Qigong classes in a variety of locations and settings. Medical Qigong is used for the prevention and healing of disease and imbalances. Students learn this ancient Chinese exercise through a series of classes. Qigong can be performed by anyone, as the exercises are easy to perform and will not strain the body if done properly.

I believe that while we have not been diagnosed with an illness, improvement of our health is an ongoing process. Wear and tear of our body will undoubtedly happen to a certain degree, but the energetic imbalances as well as nutritional imbalances continuously require our attention. Starting with a balanced whole food diet, management of stress, being socially and spiritually connected, we have a good start to optimal health. However, our individual natural tendencies towards imbalances need outside help to bring our body back to health. I am honored to help you on your healing path.
